Qigong (pronounced “Chi kong”) is a mind-body practice based on traditional Chinese exercises that revitalize and balance the body as well as calms the mind. Qigong exercises are characterized by simple gentle movements, a relaxed breath and a focused mind. Practitioners of qigong seek the qualities of integration, coordination, and harmony throughout their movements.
In this course we will learn about structural alignments, principles of movement, and ways to experience deeper relaxation and self-awareness through movement.
A series a warm-up exercises will be practiced along with an eight posture qigong form. With continued practice, participants will acquire knowledge and many valuable tools to continue a lifelong practice of qigong, and meditative movement.
Open to all levels and abilities. Wear comfortable exercise attire and tennis shoes recommended
